Testing and Authentic assessment

In my teching context, I can implement the testing and authentic assessment all the time because both are complement.
How? I implement games and diferent activities like songs and puzzles in my classes becasue they are funny activities and students can lern eassier with them. Finally I implement the test to complement the evaluation.
Of course, there are advantages and disadvantages in each form of assessment. But I think there are more adventages than disadvantages. The most important thing is put in practice the english communication.

Hi Magda,

One thing about tests is that many times they create a stressful atmosphere for the students, which in turn might affect and reflect in students' performance. On the other hand, during authentic assessment, students forget they are being assessed as the main focus is the activity itself. To take the most advantage of this type of assessment it is necessary to keep records in a systematic and reliable way, like through the use of rubrics or observational checklists.
